Summer Plans? Why Summer is the Best Time for Invisalign and Braces

School’s out!

Summer is in session and that means time to sleep in and schedule your orthodontic evaluation. Summer is probably the best time to think about getting braces or invisalign because you have more flexibility when it comes to scheduling appointments. Don’t like pulling your kids out of class for appointments? Then take advantage of these summer months in Denver and get a jump start on your and your child’s treatment!

Time for adjustment

Another benefit of starting treatment in the summer is being able to take advantage of the time it takes to adjust to your new braces or invisalign. Like any new addition, it takes a bit of time to feel like yourself again. Enjoy the luxury of not having to run back and forth between school events and extracurricular activities and use this time to let your body adjust to a new change. Don’t get me wrong, you aren’t going to be knocked out unable to move, but why not enjoy a nice smoothie while you soothe your tender mouth!

Cleaning routine

For many kids (and even some adults), oral hygiene may not fall high on their priority list…hem hem IT SHOULD! For those that struggle with their daily hygienic routine, summer is great time to practice brushing longer and better. “They” say it takes about 21 days to form a new habit. Use those three weeks this summer to master your brushing and flossing habits. You will have a jump start on those kids that get their braces on after the school year begins, and that’s a promise!

Don’t wait too long to schedule your orthodontic evaluation at Trommeter Orthodontics!
